The downloadcounter is updated again. This time, a problem found by Kerry and fixed by Niuray is added. Thank you both! You can find the new version of the download counter on the download counter page.
Reactivation of the plugin is not required with this update, unless you’ve skipped the previous update (that is, if you’re using a version prior to 0.6).
hi, your plugin seems to me a very useful one and have nothing like it in the plugin directory. But it seems not working for me. I’m using custom field to point my download links to the file not inside the post. I wonder if that has something to do with it. Pls. help me i want it so badly. thanks!
hello,
i tried your plugin, but have a minor issue. i don’t use the pretty links setting, so the link with counter i.e.:
http://www.myhost.com/?download=abc
the files is actually a zip file. when i test the download with firefox, it save the file with no extension. i’ve tried to rename the downloadname to abc.zip, but it doesn’t change anything. firefox still download them without the file extension (.zip). could you give some hint or fix them?
thank you
Hi.
I tried your download counter, but for some strange reason it destroys .zip and .tar files.
I uploaded a .zip and a .tar using the media library and when I download them with the link that was given in media library they are fine. But when I use the link given by download counter, they get scrambled some how. The files can’t be opened and I get some errors about header and stuff.
Would be nice if you could fix this
Is it possible that you get one of those corrupt files, open it up in whichever text editor you like and see if there is any errormessage in there?
